Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) for adults is an international education program proven to be effective in teaching adults how to recognize and respond to signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use challenges. This course provides instruction in identifying risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. MHFA is a course that provides participants with tools for identifying risk factors and warning signs of mental health and substance use disorders. It also instructs participants about recovery and resiliency so that individuals that experience these challenges can learn, get better, and use their strength to stay well.
