Every significant event and action begin with one single action, step, or word. Recognizing the significance of our individual potential allows us to see the power of one. Interactions and building relationships are at the root of meeting goals. In this keynote, we recognize and embrace the power that each person possesses as they help to build a better future. It starts with one person sitting in this audience, maybe your role is as a friend, a parent, an employee, a leader, but it is each person’s individual interaction that can plant one seed for success. It starts with one person who makes a commitment to step up and to step out and to take action. We celebrate each person who invests one day, one hour being present and honor the difference we individually and collectively make in the world. When we understand the power of single interaction, we realize that we are empowered, with the ability to embrace our potential and help others grow to their potential.

Working remotely can present challenges. One challenge is maintaining personal momentum when people are missing human interaction, or sense of emotional connection. It is important to understand that a key aspect of how a meaningful culture is experienced is through how employees feel and think about the work they are doing. When we don’t see, hear, or feel the ‘ah ha’ moments it can cause us to lose our sense of purpose. A positive working culture doesn’t happen by accident, it requires intentional design and influence that consistently supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Participants will learn tools for maintaining meaning and increasing connection, even in a virtual world.
